• Introducing the latest artist of the Dust Collective - Samuel Harrison. Samuel is an artist and illustrator from London whose work mainly draws inspiration from the worlds of fashion and beauty. From his love of graphite pencil drawing, Samuel’s monochromatic style often focuses on exaggerated fabric compositions, graphic make-up details and dramatic poses. Having studied Fine Art in London at both Central Saint Martins and the Chelsea College of Art, Samuel has been a professional fashion illustrator and artist for over 10 years working with names such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Instagram and Nick Knight’s SHOWstudio to name a few.

The Collaboration Ethos



For this collaboration with Dust of Gods, Samuel was instantly drawn to one of histories most famous female monsters, a formidable creature with snakes for hair. Through tragedy and hardship the Medusa rose to become a powerful dangerous beauty and this story really inspired him to bring her to life through this collection. Using a combination of leather paint, ink and acrylic pens he worked directly onto the Dust of Gods leather pieces, creating three unique garments. The pieces are full of hand drawn detailing, building up the complicated design through intricate cross hatching of many tiny lines. Taking inspiration from Ancient Greek statues and the depiction of drapery within them, he combines his love for fabric compositions with new swirling serpent shapes that come alive with movement as the piece is being worn, giving a fluidity to a character famous for turning men to stone.

    This is a custom "I Want Power" black leather jacket with a beautiful monochromatic hand-painted and drawn Medusa motif on the back. The elaborate artwork features her flowing hair that changes into snakes, making a statement piece that is bold and mystical. The sleeves are adorned with intricate floral motifs that give them depth and substance.

    The Rogue leather bag has fine hand-painted and hand-drawn details along with a tactical look. The bag has a raw, bold and a functional sense with its silver-tone zippers, buckles, and rivets. The piece is made visually appealing by the contrast between the dark leather and the white flower motif. On the back a hand-painted quote saying "Super Rich Kids with Nothing But Fake Friends" is painted in black.
